MANAGER Kelvin Highmore gave his players a ticking off at half time despite the fact they were 3-1 up.
He said: "We were fortunate to be 3-1 up at half time. Then the players responded well to what was said. They improved immediately and I think Cadbury were fortunate to be 5-1 down by the end.
"In the first half we were not doing some things correctly like holding the ball and controlling the midfield."
Neil Grant ran on to a long ball and cut inside to finish it magnificently and put Calne ahead on 15 minutes.
Five minutes later Calne lost the ball up front and Cadbury striker Nick Dyer beat the offside trap and was left with a one on one after a 40 yard long ball. He made no mistake to level the scores. Highmore said: "We should have done better. I might be being picky as we have had two good results but the lads were complacent at times."
Calne restored their lead a few minutes later. Neil Grant and James Lye linked up well with the short corner. A great ball in from Lye made it easy for Glen Armstrong to slot the ball in.
Just on the stroke of half-time Calne made it three. It was almost identical to the last one. Cadbury let Calne use exactly the same short corner move with Grant and Lye but this time for Ryan Pratley to head in.
Calne looked much better in the second half and netted their fourth on the hour mark. The keeper has come to collect a long ball from Darren Smart but Armstrong got there first to chip over him. It would have gone in anyway but James Lye nipped in to make sure.
On 70 minutes Matt Pratley, brother of previous scorer Ryan, lobbed the keeper from 20 yards.
Apart from the five goals Calne had a host of chances. Matt Pratley hit the bar twice. Highmore said: "If it was not for their keeper being in outstanding form it would have been more. He made save after save. Especially in the second half they could not live with us. "
James Lye had another outstanding game for Calne. Highmore said: "James is an important player to us. He has assisted four or five of our goals this season and got one of his own. He is an intelligent player and plays great deliveries. He is a key part of our plans. He is lagging on fitness but is still doing great."
He added: "The team spirit is very good but we are not getting carried away there is a lot of the season left. I am still aiming for 40 points and we will see what happens when we get there."
Calne are at home again to Wellington on Saturday.
