LOCAL charities are set to benefit from a £4,000 cash-pot.
Organisers of The Old Town Festival plan to give all profits to good causes.
Neil Butters, chairman, said: "We believe there could have been a record attendance of around 10,000 on the main day.
"Raising money is not the main aim but it does enable us to distribute a useful sum to local charities, as well as invest in some new items of equipment for the future."
Highlights of the event, held in June and July, included a performance by the City of London Sinfonia and a marching procession through Old Town.
Any charity wishing to apply for a share should write to: Sue Thornton, 6 Sarsen Close, Old Town, SN1 4LA.
