THE Post Office has announced it will once again offer saving stamps to be bought which can be put towards utility bills, car tax disc etc.
Why didn't it team up with credit unions, which offer a similar type of budgeting but actually do pay a dividend?
Plus, with a credit union, after a period of regular saving, you can apply for a loan.
The post office savings stamps don't offer a dividend or loan, so people can be better off joining a credit union.
Swindon's credit unions are the Clivey, on Cricklade Road and Parks and Walcot, in Cavendish Square.
