With regard to the proposed development of Le Marchant barracks in Devizes, would it not be practical and ethical for the planners to consult the residents about this matter and listen to our views on the future of this site?
Several months ago we were
invited to a seminar at the site and we were given the chance to express our feelings. Obviously nobody listened to us. When I bought my house in 1993 it was a nice quiet neighbourhood and still is. I am sure that my neighbours, as myself, do not want social housing on our doorstep.
But, it seems to me, that whatever this council and the Government want to do they will do it, no matter what the taxpayers say.
