FITNESS fans Ricky Rogers and Shaun Takle are planning a charity hitchhike from Westbury to Land's End without food, water or money.
The pair depart on their quest at 10am on Sept-ember 24 and have pledged to reach mainland UK's most southerly point no matter how long it takes.
In order to raise funds for The Jessie May Trust, a Bristol-based charity caring for terminally ill children, they will forgo camping equipment and attempt to get free lifts.
Mr Rogers, 35, is the manager at Jaguar Health and Fitness in Westbury where his training partner Mr Takle, 30, is a member.
Mr Rogers said: "It's something a bit different and hopefully it will capture people's imagination and raise a lot of money.
"We are both single parents, he's got a little girl and I've got two girls. Sometimes we think 'Crikey, what have we set ourselves up for?', but we are just going to see what happens.
"It started out with an article I read in my girlfriend's magazine about a boy who died of cancer. We said we would try to raise some money for children like that and found The Jessie May Trust.
"We hope to make it an annual thing. We are going to make it our mission to support at least one charity a year."
