A bright youngster has written to a town council asking for a statue to be lit up at night.
Rebecca Cross, of Fitzmaurice Close, Bradford on Avon, eight, decided to write to Bradford Town Council to make her request.
She wrote: "I would like to ask you a question. In Bradford on Avon there is a statue called Milly. When it is dark I would like to ask if you could put lots of lights on her?"
The council thought the proposal to light up the statue, off Silver Street, was an excellent idea and decided to consider the proposal for next year's budget.
Cllr Janet Repton said: "How can we resist?"
Rebecca was invited to come to the council meeting on Tuesday when her suggestion was discussed but she was on holiday. She will receive a letter, signed by the mayor, explaining the council's decision.
