STEVE WHITE is making no excuses for trotting out the usual cliches following Chippenham's fine start to the season.
The Bluebirds are perched at the top of the Premier Division after the 6-0 mauling of Dunstable and a 2-1 win over Solihull which was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
Chippenham entertain unbeaten Rugby United tomorrow before a trip to Team Bath on Monday and White knows that the club's fine start will count for little if they fail to pick up points in both fixtures.
"It's the same old footballing cliches, but we're not getting carried away at this stage," said White.
"We've done well in the opening two games but that's history now.
"We're just looking at the Rugby game and then after Saturday night our focus will be on the Team Bath match."
White has one major worry ahead of the double header the fitness of star striker James Constable (pictured right).
After scoring three goals in two games the forward limped off in the second half against Solihull with a dead leg.
He faces a fitness test for the Rugby clash, but should certainly be fit to face Team Bath.
Sam Allison is on standby to partner Martin Paul up front.
Skipper Wayne Thorne picked up an eye injury on Tuesday, but should recover to take his place on the left side of defence.
