Trowbridge matchman Cliff Gumm gained a fine win with an all-roach catch weighing 15lb 4oz taken on pole-fished hemp and tares.
Runner up prize went to Colin Gittings of Trowbridge with a mixed catch of roach and small chub weighing 13lb 14oz taken on feeder-fished red maggots on an 18 hook.
He was followed by Dave Foster of Trowbridge with another roach catch weighing 12lb 12oz taken on Avon floated bread flake on a 16 hook. Other placings: 4. Kevin Grant, Trowbridge 8lb 8oz; 5. Brian Baker, Chippenham 8lb 6oz; 6. Rob Bullock Chippenham 6lb 3oz.
The Wilts Angling Open match fished at Blue Circle Lake on Thursday produced some good catches of bream. Top honours went to Trowbridge matchman Tony Mumford with an all-bream catch weighing 42lb 8oz taken on feeder fished red maggots on an 18 hook.
Kevin grant of Trowbridge took second prize with another bream catch weighing 40lb also taken on feeder fished red maggots on an 18 hook. He was followed by Frome matchman Gary Dallimore with an all carp catch weighing 24lb 2oz taken on pole fished catmeat on a 12 hook. Other placings: 4. Pete Neate, Holt 23lb; 5. Gary Etheridge, Devizes 17lb 4oz; 6. Alan Azlett, Trowbridge 14lb 12oz.

Kevin Grant, Trowbridge 5lb 10oz; 6. Ted Smith, Trowbridge 4lb 4oz.
Baldham Mill was in good form on Sunday for the Lavington match with roach feeding well. Top honours went to Melksham matchman Brian Ellis with a mixed net of roach, perch and gudgeon weighing 7lb 10oz 8dm taken on pole-fished red maggots on a 20 hook.
Trowbridge matchman Ernie Jones took second prize with a mixed catch of roach and gudgeon weighing 5lb 7oz also taken on pole-fished red maggots on a 20 hook.
The Bristol Avon at Chippenham was in sparkling form on Saturday for the Chippenham Open match with roach featuring well in catches.
Top honours on the day went to Melksham matchman Robin Guy with a mixed catch of bream and perch taken on pole-fished worm on an 18 hook.
Steve Palmer of Chippenham took second prize with an all-roach catch weighing 13lb 7oz taken on pole-fished casters on an 18 hook. He was closely followed by Dennis Baker of Chippenham with another roach catch weighing 13lb 2oz taken on pole fished hemp on an 18 hook. Other placings: 4. Gary Etheridge Devizes 11lb 14oz; 5. Dave Baker Trowbridge 11lb 11oz; 6. Jason O'Dell Wootton Bassett 9lb 13oz.
