TWO reports into the failure of a Mars probe partially funded from Swindon are scheduled to out on Monday.
All went well for Beagle 2 until last Christmas when the probe entered the Martian atmosphere and touched down.
No communication from the machine, several of whose instruments were funded with grants issued through the Particle Physics and Science Research Council in North Star, has been heard since.
A six-month investigation into the events surrounding the failure has resulted in two reports.
One is a straightforward report of the events of the mission from beginning to end, while the other, called Lessons Learned, is a complete list of points to consider when plotting future missions.
Both will be available for inspection online at wwwspacecentre.co.uk, www.beagle2.com and www.le.ac.uk from noon on Monday.
Scientists have issued a statement saying they hope the concept of small, unmanned Martian landers will not die with Beagle 2.
