I RECENTLY made my first visit to the new council waste disposal site in Cheney Manor.
On the many frustrating times I spent queuing at the old site, I consoled myself with the fact that the new site would be designed with best practice in mind, much more user friendly, and far superior to Barnfield.
May I congratulate the designer on having achieved a new waste disposal site with all the well loved features of the Barnfield site, queues included, with the added bonus of steel pillars, sited to cause maximum obstruction when disposing of large items.
I was impressed by the careful thought given to restricting the increase in parking spaces, thus ensuring queues back to the main road will be achieved in the shortest possible time.
Many congratulations, city status must surely be ours for the asking.
