GAZETTE & HERALD: A CHIPPENHAM youth pleaded guilty at the town's magistrates court on Thursday to stealing a bottle of wine worth £3.99 from Threshers on July 19.
Michelle Hewitt, prosecuting, told how the youth, 17, and a friend ran into the shop and grabbed a bottle of wine each, which they later drunk.
Samira Aris, defending said: "The boy knows it was a stupid thing to do. He was drunk and was messing around."
He was ordered to pay £3.99 compensation to Threshers and £30 court costs.
