Around 150 food-lovers flocked to a Moroccan garden party, which raised nearly £3,500 for the campaign.
Diners many of whom donned veils and brightly coloured scarves tucked into dishes such as Moroccan lamb and chicken tagine, as belly-dancers gyrated in a mini souk.
Guests were also entertained by Archers actor Graham Seed, who made a surprise visit.
The party, held in Burbage, was organised by the patron of the Swindon and Marlborough branch of Macmillan, Zoe Smith.
Zoe, 55, said: "It was a wonderful occasion. We had belly dancers, music and delicious food.
"People were just so keen to support us."
Commenting on the appeal's recent £400,000 milestone, she said: "It staggering when you think how hard people have worked to helped raise this amount so quickly."
