The National Blood Service is appealing for people to give blood over the Bank Holiday period to ensure stocks stay healthy.
The NBS needs to collect 9,000 units of blood in England and North Wales every day so it is vital that people keep giving throughout the holiday period to ensure hospital patients get the lifesaving treatments they need.
Anyone who would like information about their next local session for blood donation should contact the Donor Helpline on 0845 7 711 711.
