Sarah Ryan was born in Lichfield and educated at Wrekin College, Shropshire. In 1988 she won the BBC Choirgirl Of The Year competition and the following year, recorded a one-hour radio special - 'Sarah Ryan Sings'.
She has since made numerous broadcasts for BBC Radios 2 and 4, as a soloist on Friday Night Is Music Night, and in guest appearance with Gloria Hunniford, Chris Stuart, Roger Royle, Derek Jameson and Don McLean.
Her many theatre credits include: Christine in Phantom Of The Opera (Opera House, Manchester & Her Majesty's Theatre, London) and Les Miserables.
Other concert work includes soloist in 'Some Enchanted Evening' at Proctor's Theatre in New York state for their 75th anniversary celebrations. and also at venues across the UK as well as two sell-out tours of South Africa and Taiwan.
During the summer months Sarah can be seen performing at several outdoor classical concerts including the Wiltshire Festival with the English National Orchestra.
