Stand by for the arrival of Pop!, a brand new pure pop band have exploded into the UK charts this summer with their infectious debut single "Heaven and Earth", released in May through Jive Records.

Pop! are the brainchild of legendary pop supremo Pete Waterman and music management guru Tim Byrne (Steps, A1).

If you think there's been something missing from the UK charts during the past few years, then Jade, Glenn, Jamie and Hannah are here to redress the balance.

Four shiny happy people with one simple mission: "To get pure pop back in the top ten!"

"Heaven and Earth" is a classic slice of pop heaven, featuring soaring vocals and a chorus so contagious you just won't be able to get it out of your head!

The single picks up where Steps left off, and in the same way that their first single 5,6,7,8 tapped into the burgeoning line dance scene,

Pop!'s debut tune is set to capitalize on another current craze dance mats.

As Jade explains, "Dance mats and dance mat games are everywhere at the moment, and our song is choreographed so the whole family can learn the moves on a mat."

"The industry needs a bit of excitement," elaborates Jamie. "At the moment, everyone's trying to be too serious.

"People are too worried about what everyone else thinks so they all end up sounding the same.

"We hope we're going to be a breath of fresh air with excitement, colour, and fun!"
