Blue burst onto the pop scene in May 2001 with their hugely popular debut single All Rise.

Two No 1 albums, three No 1 singles, two BRIT Awards, five million albums and 2.9 million singles later, Blue are now officially one of the biggest pop acts not only in the UK, but across the world.

Comprising of London-based lads Duncan James, 25, Anthony Costa, 21, Lee Ryan, 20, and Simon Webbe, 25, Blue's All Rise entered the UK chart at No. 4 and stayed in the Top 10 for five weeks.

The next two singles, Too Close and If You Come Back, went on to be even bigger hits, both rocketing into the chart at No 1 and selling more than 200,000 copies each.

The boys followed this massive success with their eagerly anticipated debut album All Rise, which has now sold more than 1.5 million copies in the UK alone, reaching No 1 in the album charts after a phenomenal 23 weeks.

Numerous awards followed, including Best Newcomer at the BRIT Awards 2002, Best Newcomer at the Smash Hits Awards, and Best Single, Best Newcomer and Best Pop Act at the Capital FM Awards.

This year's Party In The Park will be one of the few opportunities to see the boys appear live in 2004.

Recent rumours over the break-up of Blue have been officially denied by the band and they are set to perform a one-hour live show at Lydiard Park on Saturday, August 28.

They have already performed to capacity crowds in many major arenas nationwide.

They will sing many of their hit songs, including All Rise, One Love, Fly By, Breathe Easy and their new single Bubbly from the third album Guilty.
