Highworth's 9-0 mauling of Pegasus on the opening day of the Hellenic League season raised a few eyebrows, but manager John Fisher knows the real test for his freescoring troops comes tonight.
Abingdon visit the Elms tonight fresh from their 1-0 win over Wootton Bassett on Saturday, and are considered an outside bet for the Premier Division title.
Said Fisher: "Abingdon are going to be one of the top sides in this league so this will be a good test for us after Saturday. I won't even need to give a team talk before the game. The lads know what they've got to do when they play the top sides."
Fisher is expected to name an unchanged side, with only long-term absentees Neil Dix, Paul Donnelly and Mark Belcher unavailable.
Wootton Bassett open their home programme against Shortwood.
Paul Patel misses out with a groin strain. Steve Bunting (hamstring) and Adam Greaney (ankle) are also doubtful but Ben Gascoigne and Rich Willis will return.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Fairford travel to Didcot with a slight injury doubt over striker Phil Corcoran who has a calf complaint.
Chris Knowles misses the game, but Nathan Perkins will return from working in London in time.
Alan Dyton takes his Shrivenham side to Trowbridge for a 6.15pm kick-off in Division One West.
Tegg Jones (cruciate) faces a long lay-off while Steve Avenell, Russ Byrne and Neil Bridges can't get out of work in time for the early start.
Michael Silvanus, Liam Thompson and Andy Rainer are still on holiday but Nathan Holt, Jon Peters and Matt Hampson are back in contention.
Devizes host Welton in the Screwfix Premier, looking to build on their 2-1 derby win at Corsham on Saturday.
