Ref. 71850-39BRIAN Hall says he can't wait to pull on his trainers and attempt a gruelling 50-mile run for charity.
The kind-hearted 22-year-old, from Dean Street, Rodbourne, hopes to raise enough cash to buy equipment for Great Western Hospital's children's department.
Top of the nurses' wish list is an intravenous pump, which costs £1,500 and a hand-held oxygen monitor, at £500.
Brian will attempt the feat equivalent to almost two London Marathons by completing circuits around Coate Water on September 5.
Fundraising is going well, with the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village, where Brian works, offering to match donations up to a £1,000.
Natalie Prinsloo, fundraising co-ordinator at Great Western Hospital, said: "I think Brian is wonderful."
Brian said: "The children's unit seemed a worthwhile cause. Rather than donate the cash I want to help buy a machine."
