A CHARITY which promotes learning across the voluntary sector has launched a definitive new guide which details community learning across Wiltshire and Swindon.
The Learning Curve, a charity based in Chippenham, has compiled the Directory of Community Learning Opportunities which contains more than 40 entries.
These include voluntary organisations and the county's colleges, including Swindon and New College.
The Learning Curve itself has three entries in the directory, detailing the Basic Skills, Capacity Building and IT Centre learning opportunities it provides.
The organisations appear in the directory alphabetically and each entry lists the organisation's contact details, its aims, what learning opportunities they provide, qualifications offered, costs involved and details on future courses.
The publication of this directory has been financed by the Wiltshire and Swindon Learning and Skills Council, as part of its Neighbourhood Learning for Deprived Communities project.
The purpose of the funding is to increase and promote learning opportunities for residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
Copies are free and are available from colleges and libraries or call 01249 464686 to order one by post, but you will need to pay post and packing.
