Goatacre found the going hard as they batted first at Colwall. Matt Wilkins and brother Ed fell to Haycroft, but Jif Wilkins and Steve Lines battled hard.
Kevin Iles and Wilkins took the score to 90 before Wilkins was caught for 25. Adam Iles scored 10 and then captain Peter Turner put together a useful partnership with Kevin Iles before Iles was run out for 35.
The innings fell away as three wickets in the last two overs saw Goatacre dismissed for 174 with two balls left.
Wolfendale was caught by Lines off the bowling of Adam Iles in the first over.
But a series of missed catches and misfields proved to be Goatacre's downfall. With five needed in the final over, a misfield off the final ball gave the home side a six-wicket win.
