Louise DenmanCLEVER Louise Denman is celebrating an amazing six A grades, which include an extra A-level she took in her spare time.
The busy student completed her biology, chemistry, physics, maths and general studies courses at South Wilts Grammar School but took an additional combined English language and literature A-level in evening classes at Salisbury College.
"I want to study medicine, so I thought I should do the courses I need for medical school," said the 18-year-old from Hilltop Way, Salisbury.
"But I've always enjoyed English and found it very interesting.
"It wouldn't have fitted in with my timetable in South Wilts sixth form, so I decided to take the course at Salisbury College.
"It was pretty hectic but I managed all the revision somehow."
Louise was delighted when she found she had received six top grades.
"I was really nervous before I opened them and had to keep checking because I couldn't believe they were all As," she said. "My family and friends were really pleased for me."
After a busy time, Louise now plans to take a gap year and hopes to go travelling and get some work experience before studying medicine.
"I've been quite busy, so haven't had much time to think about the future," she said. "But I can relax a bit now I've got these results."
