Ref. 71892-40Families were determined to make the most of a dry spell at Coate Water Country Park.
Our photographer captured them aboard a miniature train as they prepared for a mini tour of the park yesterday.
But the wet weather has been putting off some visitors.
A park ranger said: "The little ones and big kids too seemed to enjoy their trip on the train.
"We have been ticking over for the last two weeks but visitor numbers are not as high as we would like them because of the wet weather the park's overflow car park certainly isn't overflowing at the seams.
"It's pleasing to see a brave few defying the weather and coming down here to make the most of the last few days of the school summer holiday."
The park's pitch and putt is also proving popular.
The ranger added: "We would all like to see a few more days of sunshine now so the children can still enjoy the last couple of weeks of their holiday before they return to school."
