MOREDON and Rodbourne Cheney Library is looking to set up the first Friends of Our Library group in Swindon.
It will be an opportunity to help develop and promote the library in the local community, and to arrange and support activities.
Such schemes have been successfully tried in many other authorities already, with great results.
People of all ages and interests are encouraged to attend the first meeting on September 8 at 6pm at the library at Church Walk North, off Moredon Road.
