CALUM Forsyth has been appointed managing director UK and Ireland of Wavin Plastics, 17 years after joining the firm.
Forsyth, 38, worked his way through the ranks of the company, and for the past three years has been commercial director.
He replaces Brian Doe, who is retiring.
"It's an exciting time to be taking on this role," said Mr Forsyth. "I have inherited a great legacy from Brian and have every intention of building on these solid foundations."
A leading manufacturer of plastic pipes and fittings for the utilities, civil and building products markets, Wavin Plastics is part of the Wavin Group, one of the world's largest industrial plastics manufacturers in the world.
Providing stormwater systems, guttering, soil and waste piping, the Osma brand from Wavin Plastics Ltd is one of the most well known names in the UK building industry.
Osma lorries carry products from Wavin's factory at Pew Hill, Chippenham, to destinations across Europe.
But Wavin also plays an important community role, being a major sponsor of events including the Chippenham Folk Festival and the North Wiltshire Festival.
"Within Wavin we have developed efficient, well-run manufacturing bases complemented by industry-leading supply chain management processes and logistics capabilities," said Mr Forsyth.
"We have fantastic products and a powerful brand. My focus will now be to work with the entire team to bring these to bear in the delivery of outstanding service to our customers."
