FOUR solicitors from Salisbury and Southampton law firm Trethowans have taken part in the Snowdonia Charity Challenge.
After months of training and preparation, the team cycled 20 miles at the foot of Snowdon, climbed to the summit of the mountain and back, cycled another 20 miles and then did a two and a half mile canoe race.
The challenge was completed in eight hours and raised more than £2,300 for the charity Regain, which improves the independence of people severely disabled through damage to their spinal cord, as a result of a competitive sports injury.
A number of fundraising events were organised by Trethowans prior to the challenge, including a dress-down day and an eBay-style auction.
Chris Whiteley, head of personal injury at Trethowans and member of the challenge team, said: "Despite months of intensive physical training, no-one could have prepared for the horrendous weather conditions we were faced with on the mountain.
"However, we knuckled down and urged each other on and it was very satisfying to complete
the challenge and raise
much-needed funds for such a worthwhile charity."
