ENTERTAINERS in Marlborough have joined to produce a CD that has already made £500 for the Prospect Foundation.
The CD launch took place at the Royal Oak in the High Street on Thursday last week when the performers put on a show.
The idea came from Mickey Dobie who has been involved in comedy and music acts for the last three decades.
For many of those years he teamed up with Ivan Robinson as the comedy duo, Gaffer and Willis.
The pair, who formerly called themselves Prim and Proper, have appeared on a number of TV shows including Opportunity Knocks with the late Hughie Green.
Mr Dobie said: "We are planning to retire from entertaining and decided we should mark it by putting out a CD of local entertainers.
"We have had a lot of support and we decided that the CD should benefit the Prospect Foundation."
The CD features Gaffer and Willis, Tom and Kerry McKenna, Marlborough singer Mickey P and Calne singer Melanie. The CD costs £10 and is available from the Prospect Hospice charity shops.
