13909/2KIND-HEARTED youngsters Lauren Peters and Lauren Skinner of Worton, and Emily Thorpe of Devizes, have been giving up part of their summer holidays to walk other people's dogs and raise money for the RSPCA.
The trio, all nine, became bored and decided to ask dog owners in the villages of Worton and Marston if they could walk their pets in return for a donation to the RSPCA.
So far they have raised £26 and plan to carry on until they return to school.
Emily, who had the idea, said: "I wanted to raise money for the RSPCA because they help look after animals. We have been walking dogs nearly every day and we have enjoyed it."
The youngsters have walked a dozen dogs and have walked a few several times.
Emily's grandmother Lorna Phillips, of Worton, said: "The girls knocked on people's doors in Worton and Marston asking if they could walk their dogs which I thought was very brave of them. They have enjoyed themselves."
Jo Barr, RSPCA spokeswoman, said: "We are extremely grateful to these enterprising youngsters for all their hard work. It means a lot that people will go out and fundraise for us."
