JAMELIA has been nominated for three Mobo awards the most nominations ever for a British artist.
The singer, pictured, who is due to perform at this year's Party in the Park in Swindon's Lydiard Park, has received nominations in the categories of UK Act of the Year, Best Video, and Best Single. Her album, Thank You, has also been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize.
Jamelia said: "It's a great thrill for me to be nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. I'm really proud of the album and am delighted at the acknowledgement from the voting panel. The quality of the albums in the shortlist is very high which makes it all the more exciting."
The 22-year-old Birmingham-born star, proud mother to three-year-old daughter, Taja, will be lining up alongside Blue and Darius at the Swindon event on Saturday. See page 21 for details of our Party in the Park giveaways.
