HOW much longer shall we have to put up with the chaos in Marlborough caused by the traffic diversions imposed so that a builder can put up scaffolding in the road on Barn Street?
The annoyance, inconvenience and delays caused by this is very substantial and is a serious imposition on the residents of the town and those who travel through it.
Does the county council care nothing for our freedom to use the streets of our town?
Is this of less account than the convenience of a builder?
What is our county councillor doing about it from her retreat in Sussex?
It is high time all roads are restored to normal.
Last week you published a letter from a lady who welcomed the reduction of traffic in Herd Street.
As the traffic removed from Herd Street has merely been moved to Kingsbury Street, I do not suppose that the residents of that street welcome the change.
