CHIPPENHAM NEWS: STAFF and customers at a Chippenham pub have been shedding weight to raise pounds for charity.
Liz Drew, manager of the Three Crowns, Causeway, was one of a team of five who lost 108lb and raised £531 for Dorothy House.
Customers Archie Findlay, Joy Packer, Frank Kirkham and Paul Paisey also took part. Mr Paisey lost the most, shedding a massive 35lb.
Mrs Drew said: "They all come here drinking and we all decided to do it between us."
They slimmers lost the weight over a period of 12 weeks.
Mrs Drew went on the Atkins diet and lost 14lbs.
She said: "I found it quite good. You are allowed cooked breakfasts which I normally don't eat."
Sponsorship forms were put up in the pub and raffles raised extra money. The five were 'over the moon' with the amount of money raised.
The group would welcome donations towards their fundraising efforts, which can be made at The Three Crowns, 18 Causeway, Chippenham.
