THE new record by Melksham's own Mr Christmas hit the national airwaves for the first time this week.
Celebrity DJ Mike Read played the new release from Andy Park, Christmas Every Day, while broadcasting his Magic FM breakfast show from Gingers Studio, in Devizes, on Sunday morning.
Mr Park said: "Mike Read used to play my records as a bit of a leg pull but now he approaches it more seriously and is keen to promote them."
The DJ, who has been playing Mr Park's releases since 1983, has a breakfast slot with Magic FM.
"When I knew Mike was coming to Wiltshire I gave him a ring and he was delighted to give the record its first national airing," said Mr Park.
"He knows how I love the Christmas festive time and is keen to help me."
The two men discussed the possibility of staging a 1980s music show in Wiltshire.
Mr Park said: "Mike is a good friend of Sir Cliff Richard and they play tennis together, so who knows what will come of the 1980s idea."
Mr Park has become famous throughout Wiltshire and even across the country, appearing on national television to talk about his obsession with Christmas.
He celebrates the festive season all year round, eating Christmas dinners, keeping decorations around the house and watching tape recordings of the Queen's speech.
