WESSEX Trains has sent out more than a million free return tickets to selected households in the South West.
The Getaway Giveaway allows passengers to take a free day trip anywhere on the Wessex Trains network in September to encourage people to leave the car at home.
Lucky recipients in west Wiltshire can travel to stations as far away as Penzance and Brighton.
