THE final heat of this year's Starry Eyes talent competition gave more pop and rock star hopefuls the chance to show-off their talent.
Singers and songwriters from west and north Wiltshire, Bath and Swindon took to the stage at Chicago Rock Caf on Sunday, to win a place in the live final in October.
Sunday's heats provided judges with another headache as 20 winners from the junior and senior sections needed to be picked.
Trowbridge youngsters Kieran Boyle, seven, and Joe Medway, four, kicked off proceedings with Bob The Builder's Can We Fix It?, followed by 13-year-old Danielle Reed's version of Christina Aguilera's Beautiful.
Girls Aloud classic Sound Of The Underground was sung by Sophie Hiscocks, 11, while Rebecca Croman, seven, sang The Vengaboys' Going To Ibiza.
Duets proved popular with 11-year-olds Jennie Croman and Courtney Ingram singing Anastasia's Left Outside Alone, while Britney Spears was the inspiration for Kimberley Sherratt and Gemma Heard.
Pop wannabe Daniel Matravis performed his version of Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl, while 14-year-old Nicola Chatfield belted out The Darkness' I Believe In A Thing Called Love. Milly Williamson, 12, chose another Anastasia smash-hit, with Kathryn Reilly singing Westlife's If Your Hearts Not In It.
Juniors Sophia Medway and Kaylee Flexon picked Roxie, while senior duo Rachel Gallacher and Rachael Lanfear sang All That Jazz, both from the musical Chicago.
Guitar players Emma Elliott, who performed Nils Lofgren's Shine Silently and Gary Mithen, who belted out his own composition, added their own touch of rock to kick off the senior section.
Les Miserables ballad Stars was sung by Oliver Park, while Tony Hadley wannabe John Theopolis chose Through The Barricades.
Last year's audience vote winners Carl Triggs and Mark Sherratt proved they were more than a one-hit wonder, with their version of Spirit In The Sky.
Mark's mother Carolyn sang Juice Newton's Angel Of The Morning, Sarah Turvey sang I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables and ME sufferer Claire Dick won over the crowds with Anastasia's Left Outside Alone.
The Fugees' Killing Me Softly was chosen by Vicki Rowe, and Tracy Richman sang Lulu's Shout.
Chippenham's Denory Thomas performed his self-penned Reach Out and Nicky Davis sang What Happens Now.
Christopher Tong, from Bath, chose Dirty Dancing ballad She's Like The Wind and Peter Brook added his individual touch to Westlife's Miss You Nights.
Starry Eyes co-director Sally Boyle said: "It is such a pity only a selection could be picked, as all the acts were brilliant.
"Those who did not get through this year are welcome to attend our free workshops and participate in other events."
Judges included talent show veteran Molly Hopkins, Craig Evry from the Wiltshire Times, Kim Pearce from The Wharf Theatre and Trowbridge Town Council officers Steve Nash and Dawn Galpin.
