SEPTEMBER 17 - 18 2004, BATH: Charlie is one of life's lovable losers and she's coming to share her story in Bath next month.

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Taking Charlie will be performed at the Ustinov Studio on September 17 and 18.

Touchingly performed by Abi Roberts, the show's heroine Charlie reveals her trials and tribulations as a failed It girl with a drugs problem and a slightly dubious line in self-deprecating humour.

Through her frank confessions, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, from a lousy relationship with an internet nerd to the movie version of her life, where she can imagine being played by Catherine Zeta Jones.

Taking Charlie is a collaboration between Jonathan Harvey, author of BBC comedy Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, actress-singer Abi Roberts and her song writing partner Duncan Walsh Atkins.

Tickets cost £10, £7 concessions, on 01225 448844.
