Wootton Bassett's third string notched up their first victory of the season with a fine 19-9 Dorset & Wilts Two North success over Sutton Benger's Wellesley Arms.
The Arms opened the scoring with a penalty, but Bassett responded when scrum-half Dave Scott picked up from the base of a ruck and sprinted home.
Veteran fly-half Rob Bloxham added an excellent conversion to put the visitors 7-3 up before Arms replied with another penalty.
In the second half, quick-footed centre Jon Spillane jinked through the defence and scored under the posts to line up an easy conversion for Bloxham.
Another Bassett infringement gave Wellesley another penalty which they duly kicked to narrow the difference.
But it was Bassett who once again crossed the line for the last score of the game when back row Neil Osbourne latched onto a fine pass in the middle of the field from centre Spillane and sprinted half the length of the pitch to score.
Elsewhere in the division, a derby between Aldbourne Dabchicks and Minety 2nd ended 7-0 to Aldbourne.
A converted try by the Dabchicks' wing John Smith early in the second half provided the only points of the afternoon in this messy, stop-start game.
Minety twice came close to scoring in the final quarter but they could not capitalise on their chances and ended up suffering only their second loss of the season.
n FAIRFORD ran out comfortable 43-10 winners against Cirencester 3rd, despite their long injury list.
Fairford were always first to the break down and new scrum-half Scott Canada provided quick ball to Bryan Joblin who burst through a large gap to score under the posts.
Chris Tanner added the two points to his early penalty and put the hosts into a 10-0 ahead.
Joblin was again in on the act, executing a lovely switch move in midfield with Adam Phelps and again went in under the posts for his second converted try.
Sloppy hands in defence put Cirencester on the scoreboard, but man of the match Ants Little, crashed over from 35 yards with another typical bullocking run.
Turning round 24-5 up, further tries by winger Juan and hooker, Rory Polly his first try of the season added to the tally.
Cirencester came back with a try from their skipper, but Richard Hadgkiss ran in under the posts to have the final say for Fairford.
n CHIPPENHAM 2nd followed their first team's success by defeating their Salisbury counterparts 38-7.
The pack paved the way for the opening try, winger Darren McMillan crossing before centre Gary Champion touched down and Dan Reynolds converted.
Salisbury hit back with an interception try before half-time, but Chippenham dominated the second half and further tries followed from the back row of Scott Sherratt, Dan Shuker and Andy Tombs.
These were followed by another try from centre Matt Spurway to round off a comprehensive victory.
Meanwhile, Chippenham 3rd maintained their unbeaten start to the Merit Table with a 19-14 win at Devizes 2nd.
James Cook opened the scoring for Chippenham and they looked in control when skipper Ian Bannister broke and Chris Cook crashed over for a try, converted by Alun Jones.
However, Devizes responded with a converted try and it wasn't until Nigel Swan ran the length of the field that Chippenham were safe, Devizes managing a late consolation.
SWINDON College 2nd's clash against Cheltenham North ended 18 minutes early as the referee picked up an injury, with Cheltenham winning 17-12.
