Coleshill United, top of Division Two, came within a whisker of putting out Lambourn Sports in the North Berks Cup first round.
With the scoreline at 1-1, after extra-time, hosts Lambourn won 5-4 on penalty kicks.
Division One leaders Faringdon Town had no such problems as they crushed Division Three side Hagbourne United 8-1.
Robert Owen bagged a hat-trick with Robbie Harrington and Lee Moss scoring two each while Robert Lovegrove added one to put them through to the next round, where they will meet Benson Lions, who saw off Benson AFC 2-0, thanks to goals from Jon Radcliffe and Leon McLeod in another upset.
In League Division 2, Saxton Rovers Reserves hammered Lambourn Sports Reserves to move into second place.
Ben Kapala grabbed a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory.
Meanwhile in DIvision Three, East Hendred Reserves came back from a goal down at the break to win 5-1 against Faringdon Town Reserves, Gareth Cooper (3), Neil Thimbleby and Paul Smith on target.
