A British woman has won the world conker champion-ship with her handbag slung over her shoulder.
Alison Everett, 27, a building society worker from Northampton beat off a French challenge to take the 40th annual title, holding on to her handbag throughout the final. Darren Foster, 34, of Cambs, won the men's title in Ashton, Northants.
