THAMES Water is trialling a new fat-buster chemical in Shrivenham in a bid to reduce problems caused by the build-up of fat and grease in sewers.
The company has started to add small quantities of the chemical to sewage in pumping station in the village.
The chemical has already been used successfully in the US.
