THE achievements of Salisbury's unsung heroes will be recognised on Sunday at the prestigious Journal People Awards.
Over the past few months, the nominations have been flooding in, and we are almost ready to announce the winners in ten categories.
Our nominees include medical professionals, good neighbours and friends, fantastic fundraisers and true heroes who have saved lives or shown remarkable courage.
There are also prizes for people who make great contributions to business, education and the retail sector in Salisbury.
Journal publisher Bill Browne and Ceri Hurford-Jones, of Spire FM, will be hosting the event, which takes place at Salisbury Playhouse from 2pm.
Spire FM will also be broadcasting from the ceremony throughout the afternoon on 102FM.
Local dignitaries and community leaders have been invited to the presentation and Journal photographers will be capturing in pictures the special day, which promises to be an exciting occasion for all our nominees and their families and friends.
Next week, we will have full coverage of the awards in a colourful eight-page pull-out, along with the stories of our wonderful winners, who all help to make Salisbury and south Wiltshire a better place to be.
