IT'S top marks for Pitton Pre-School following its recent Ofsted inspection.
The inspector, Angela Ismond, was impressed with the quality of care at the village hall-based pre-school, which gives children a good choice of activities, high-quality equipment, and a bright, welcoming environment.
Her report praises the standard of supervision, the way the children are encouraged to help out and develop their independence, and the enthusiasm of the five staff, who are keen to attend training courses and develop their own skills.
Parents are equally happy with the school and the inspectors received positive feedback about the attentive, considerate staff and the support their children are given.
Her report gave the pre-school a 'good' rating, to the delight of proprietor Carolyn Beckett.
"We were delighted to see that the inspector acknowledged the very positive efforts the whole team makes in providing positive role models and in developing children's confidence and self esteem as an area of outstanding practice," Ms Beckett said.
"This is a great achievement and credit to all staff."
