A GLUT of draws has marked the opening burst of matches in the new season of the Sarum Winter League, with four finishing all-square.
Only newcomers Devizes B, in Division Two, have maximum points from two matches among results received.
Best draw of the lot was arguably Victoria Park's sharing of the points on Sunday with Corsley who finished third in Division Two last winter. Brother and sister Nick and Catherine Brown, with husband and wife Alan and Jenny Mears, were the Park foursome who battled to equality, winning two tie-breaks on the way. Corsley had started with a maximum home win over Riverside D, who then suffered again when hosting title favourites Devizes A.
The derby match between River-side C and Salisbury B was another to end level.
Salisbury led 3-1 after the mixed rubbers, but were pegged back as Riverside halved the men's match and won a tie-break on the way to victory in the ladies tussle.
A fragmented start to the Division One programme, because of fixture changes pre-season and a postponement due to rain, has brought three points from their first two matches for Andover A. They were 7-1 victors on Saturday away to newly-promoted Riverside B, who also lost by the same score at Winchester A.
Salisbury's Alastair Allen and David Booth are the 2004 Wiltshire Over-55 men's doubles champions after the annual event staged at Pewsey.
It was Alastair's third win in five years.
Allen and Booth won five of their six sets on a day spoiled by rain.
Riverside's Glen D'Mello and Adrian Ellis lost the third-fourth place play-off after winning four of their five group matches in the Over-45 event.
