CUP competitions continue to bring out the best in Amesbury Town as they progressed in the Wiltshire Senior Cup, writes Ryan Lovejoy.
They are also still in the FA Vase and the Syden-hams Wessex League Cup, having previously only won a Wiltshire Senior Cup tie in manager Nick Horner's first two seasons in charge.
Biddestone took the lead against the run of play on 12 minutes when Dean Bookman chested down a corner and smashed it in off the bar.
Despite dominating proceedings, it took the Blues until the 55th minute to find an equaliser through Keith Nicholls.
Kerry Roberts set up Lee Cunningham for a typical header on 81 minutes, and the striker's aerial prowess laid on the third for Andrew Parnaby a minute from the end.
Horner added: "Even when we were 1-0 down I had no doubts that we would beat them.
"At the beginning of the season I highlighted this as a cup that we could win and I still think we can do it."
SALISBURY City have promised to send a strong side to Amesbury's Recrea-tion Ground on Tuesday, November 23, for a fund-raising match to help celebrate The Blues' centenary season.
Kick off is 7.45pm.
