A SWINDON-BASED research council is set to benefit from a £250,000 a year Government research scholarship to help in the study of hydrogen as an alternative energy source.
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council will receive the money for five scholars to carry out hydrogen research and development and share expertise with specialists at the Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The funding was announced by Energy Minister Mike O'Brien.
