Ref. 72681-30FROM pints to paintbrushes a Swindon pub has a new look thanks to its regulars.
They mucked in to give the Fox and Hounds in High Street, Haydon Wick a makeover to help landlady Ellen Dee.
The peeling paint has been replaced by shades of green and terracotta.
Ellen said: "It looks so much fresher now we didn't want to change the atmosphere of the place, just the look.
"It was a really good laugh in the end and the people who weren't helping kept coming in and taking the mick.
"The only thing we've all disagreed about is whether the walls are terracotta or pink.
"I hate pink so its terracotta."
Ellen is eternally grateful to her customers who saved her from being sacked by the leaseholder Mark Winchcombe of Remote Valley Inns for not meeting targets.
Mr Winchcombe was so moved by the customers pleas that he reinstated her and gave her some cash to help to revamp the pub.
"We're trying to make a little cash go a long way," said Ellen.
"There's been a bit of begging and borrowing. It's so great that everybody has helped out.
"We'd never change the atmosphere it's a community pub and always will be." Ellen now hopes to put on pub quizzes and live music.
