Chippenham Town mid-fielder Ben Kirk bares all for the new calenderGAZETTE & HERALD: The wraps are off at Chippenham Town Football Club, where players have stripped to help raise money for the club.

The saucy calendar features the footballers displaying more to the public than might normally be expected in the course of a weekend match but creator Lauren McKell says it is all done very tastefully.

"This is a calendar done for women and from a woman's viewpoint," she said.

"I don't think men always have the right idea about what makes a sexy picture and it's not about wearing dickie bows.

"This calendar has very sexy and classy pictures, done in black and white."

The calendar pictures have been kept under wraps unlike the players but the Gazette has been allowed to give readers an early sneaky peek at one of the calendar boys.

Mrs McKell, 35, Sales Executive for Chippenham Town Football Club, said that the team had a bunch of good-looking players and that orders for the calendars were already flooding in.

The photos were taken by photographers Martin Wigg and Don Boots from Corsham and the calendar will sell for £7.

All the pictures are set in and around the football club.

Mrs McKell dreamed up the idea for the calendar and talked the players into taking part.

They received 50 pre-orders within a week of announcing the calendar.

It will be available from November 1 at the football club and from shops around the town, including Shoestrings, ExSports, Hollands and the Giant Party Shop.

The football club will also be selling the calendar at a special Ladies Pamper Night on November 17 at 7.30pm.
