GAZETTE & HERALD: St Dunstan Church of England Primary School celebrated the formal opening of its new £300,000 building on Monday.
The new building, which is designed around the school's logo, the sun, links the infants and the primary school.
It also provides a new entrance hall and a state of the art IT suite.
Headteacher Mary Smith said: "At one point there was a fence splitting the two schools and now there's this building. It's hard to imagine what it was like. The difference is terrific."
The building was formally opened and dedicated by the Bishop of
Ramsbury, the Right Rev Peter Hullah, but has been in use since June.
Another 150 guests joined the 500 schoolchildren who each let off a balloon to celebrate.
Mrs Smith said she had once put on a pedometer and clocked up four miles in the old building.
Pupil Rhys Hayter, 9, a member of the school council said: "I think the yellow corridors are cool and the yellow goes with the sun."
"I think the new suite is great because I'm a great fan of computers".
