BOOKWORMS in Swindon are set to benefit from a £17,000 cash pot.
The cash is the fruit of a new partnership between Swindon Council and the Arts Council For The South West Of England.
It's hoped the funding will help lure some of the top literary names to the town.Coun Jemima Milton, the lead member for environment and transport, right, said: "The new grant will help support our delivery plan for literature over the next 18 months and will raise the profile of literature-related events in Swindon."
Helen Miah, the Strategic Arts and Community Officer, at the council added: "This funding will enable us to support reading groups and writing workshops."
