AS we move into that time of year when we switch on our central heating, many older people will be wondering how they can afford to heat their homes this winter.
With rising energy bills becoming a fact of life, ensuring there is affordable warmth to those who most need it has to be a top priority.
Through our partnership with British Gas, a new customer initiative has just been launched Price Promise which will cap the cost of energy for the next three years for those customers over 60 who are in receipt of pension credit.
The package also includes a free home insulation programme, help with claiming benefit entitlements and access to British Gas priority services.
Anyone wanting to know more about Price Promise can ring 0845 600 0294 Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday from 8am to 6pm.
Through this scheme at least some of the most vulnerable customers will have peace of mind that one bill will not go higher over the next three years.
