Chippenham's first game in this year's Bristol Combination Cup against Whitehall proved to be an entertaining game, dominated by Chippenham's forwards and backs.
Good forward support play and rucking and mauling provided Chippenham's backs with plenty of space to run in tries.
Tries came early in the first half with P J Rawson going in after quick ball from the forwards. Chivers scored the second and Haines, not to let the forwards down, went in for the third.
Whitehead added a try in the corner, followed by tries from PJ (2), Chivers, Mike Mohan and Richard Smith. Lee Audies converted five to complete the scoring.

Chippenham under 7's
Chippenham under sevens played their first ever match away to Stroud on Sunday morning.
In only four weeks Nick Burroughs and his coaching team have developed a strong group of 20 players that are showing all the signs of a great squad.
Fresh off the back of a mini tournament the week before, Stroud used their match experience to advantage, beating Chippenham 4-0 in a series of mini matches. However, this was a day for Chippenham to experience playing a rugby match for the first time.
Chippenham went down seven tries to four (35-20) in their first encounter but grew with confidence, just missing out in the last mini match six tries to five (30-25).
