NEW boy Christian Roberts is looking forward to banging in the goals for Town, but former club Bristol City have taken measures to prevent him from coming back to haunt them.
The 24-year-old penned a two-and-half-year contract after coming through a medical yesterday and is poised to start against Oldham Athletic tomorrow.
One match he won't be playing in though is the League One clash against Brian Tinnion's outfit at the County Ground on March 28 and it will be the same story should the two clubs meet in the play-offs.
The Ashton Gate club have insisted on the clauses in the player's contract, a decision Roberts has branded as 'petty'.
However, it hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for the move and Roberts is convinced he can help push Town towards promotion.
While the Welshman has checked in, a familiar face at the County Ground is checking out.
Youth development officer Jimmy Fraser is leaving to take up a post in the academy set-up at Premiership outfit Chelsea.
A possible but by no means certain contender to replace Fraser is former Town favourite Iffy Onuora.
He trained with Andy King's men yesterday as preparations gathered pace for tomorrow's clash with Brian Talbot's struggling Latics.
